Holidays have come: Iconic Coca Cola truck and its ‘spectacular projections’ light up Manchester

To many people Christmas begins when they get their first sight of the famous Coca Cola truck on their TV screens, accompanied by the familiar ‘Holidays are coming’ jingle.

For two days only, Mancunians will have the chance of experiencing the real thing, as the legendary red and white truck has arrived in Manchester as part of its UK tour.

After a whistle-stop tour through the city centre the truck pitched up at the Trafford Centre on Thursday, where visitors were offered a free can of Coke and a chance to get a photo alongside the truck and with one of Santa’s helpers.

Speaking to MM, a Coca Cola spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to be spreading some festive cheer to Manchester, especially when the countdown to Christmas is well and truly underway.”

According to the spokesperson, an extra dose of Christmas magic has been added to truck this year.

“As night falls, the side of the truck is transformed with a series of spectacular projections, giving people the chance to catch a glimpse of the magic which takes place inside the Coca-Cola Christmas truck.”
