Watch: Salford community grocery rebuilding a community in a cost-of-living crisis

A Salford community grocery has been helping keep families fed amid the nationwide cost-of-living crisis.

Christian charity Victory Outreach has joined forces with The Message Trust, the mastermind behind the community groceries across the country, to support people in need in Salford.

The Liverpool Street grocery is open Monday to Friday and gives members the chance to buy a full food shop for the family for just £4.

Grocery manager Theresa John said the pandemic separated people but she has seen first-hand how the community grocery has rebuilt a community.

MM visited the store to speak to Theresa and residents benefiting from the low-cost groceries.
