WATCH: Traders on the cost of living crisis as Christmas Markets open

The Manchester Christmas Markets have officially opened for the festive season.

The city’s streets and squares will be filled with Christmas spirit in the form of huts, stalls and bars until December 22.

The markets will be open from 10am to 9pm.

This year, the festivities arrive as the country struggles through a cost of living crisis.

MM visited the markets on opening day, Thursday 10 November, to speak to some of the traders at this year’s event about their stalls and how they think the markets will be affected by the rising costs.
