Weekend woes: Tram services cancelled from Bury to Piccadilly due to ‘essential engineering work’

By Mancunian Matters staff

Several tram services from Bury this weekend have been cancelled with Manchester Metrolink offering replacement buses due to ongoing engineering work.

No trams will run between Bury and Victoria on Saturday or between Bury and Piccadilly, and Central Park and Piccadilly on Sunday.

On both days a bus service from Bury to Piccadilly is calling at all stops except Shudehill and Market Street.

Passengers for Droylsden can board connecting trams at Piccadilly or Piccadilly Gardens.

Another bus service Sunday from Central Park to Piccadilly calls at all stops except Shudehill and Market Street.

Passengers for East Didsbury can board connecting trams at Piccadilly or Piccadilly Gardens.

Metrolink has apologised for any inconvenience caused to passengers and have advised passengers to purchase tickets from a Metrolink machine before boarding replacement buses.

Information on all Metrolink services are available at www.metrolink.co.uk
