Crowds were out in force today to welcome the Earl and Countess of Wessex to Manchester.

Prince Edward and Sophie are in the city centre today to view the tributes in memory of the late Queen.

They will first stop at the Central Library to sign the council’s book of condolence before moving on to St Ann’s Square and Manchester Cathedral.

The Queen, who died last Thursday, will be laid to rest at Westminster Abbey on Monday.
