By Helen Le Caplain

Two teenage girls arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a firefighter in a Northern Quarter blaze will face no further action.

Father-of-two Stephen Hunt died tackling the fire at Paul’s Hair World on Oldham Street last Saturday.

The 15-year-olds were arrested and later bailed, but police have now made the decision to cancel the bail.

Following an assessment of the initial information gathered and the accounts the two girls provided, no further action will be taken.
