More than 400 fighters from across the globe will head to Manchester later this month to compete in the World Taekwondo Grand Prix III.

The event – the third of four taking place across the world – will be at the Manchester Regional Arena between October 20 and 23.

World No.1 Bradly Sinden and Jade Jones, the 2012 and 2016 Olympic gold medallist, are among the Great Britain stars expected to take part.

Bianca Walkden and Lauren Williams, ranked No.1 and No.2 in the world respectively, will also compete while Amy Truesdale and Beth Munro are among members of the GB Paralympian team.

Launched in 2014, the World Taekwondo Grand Prix features 31 of the top world-ranked athletes from each Olympic category.

Previous Grand Prix events in 2022 were held in Rome and Paris, with the final scheduled for December in Wuxi, China.

The event is in partnership with UK Sport, Manchester City Council and British Taekwondo.
