Mancunian Matters spoke to Sir Oink-A-Lot, the official Monster Raving Loony Party candidate for Northenden in the Manchester City Council Elections.
The Monster Raving Loony Party is a long-running protest party, founded by Screaming Lord Sutch in 1982.
And in Northenden, Sir Oink-A-Lot is claiming victory as, in his words, “every non-voter is a loony voter” – a philosophy that would mean they claimed around 76% of the electorate.

Northenden was a Labour hold for candidate Richard Fletcher, who received 1,591 votes.
