FC United strengthened their promotion hopes with an eventful 2-0 victory away to AFC Fylde in the Evo-Stik Premier Division on Saturday.
Goals from Greg Daniels and Callum Byrne secured victory for Karl Marginson’s men after United overcame several hurdles.
Striker Michael Norton played the entire second half in goal after James Spencer suffered an injury and there was 13 minutes of stoppage-time.
But the most bizarre incident came at the interval as the visitors were locked out of their dressing room in the windy conditions as nobody could find the key.
FC United later tweeted their view on the incident, describing it as ‘unbelievable’.

Whilst Curzon Ashton returned to winning ways after an entertaining encounter away to Prescot Cables.
Ryan Brooke opened the scoring for John Flanagan’s men but Isaac Kusaloka equalised before Matthew Warburton restored the lead.
Philip Bannister made it 2-2 just before the hour-mark but Warburton had the last laugh as his fine effort secured three points for the visitors.
