Manchester Giants: Voting open for British Basketball League’s All-Star Games 2024

Fans can now vote for their favourite Manchester Giants’ players to play in the British Basketball League’s (BBL) All-Star game on March 17th.

After a 10-year absence, the BBL has re-introduced the concept this year, but instead of a Great Britain All-Stars vs Rest of the World All-Stars match players from the North players will clash with players from the South.

The event will involve a women’s and a mens game taking place at the Copper Box Arena in London.

Players from BBL teams will go from rivals to teammates and fans have the opportunity to witness their favourites battling together and against each other in the one-day showdown.

Voting involves picking one centre, two forwards and two guards per team.

And there is no limit on how many players from one club can be picked in the start five, so get as many Giants players in as you can.

Those with the most votes will be selected to start in their respective teams.

The two-top performing North and South coaches in the British Basketball League will be chosen as the head coaches for each team.

Once confirmed, the coaches will have the responsibility of selecting one reserve from each team in the league.

The split of the 11 women’s teams and 10 men’s team are as follows.

Men

North: Caledonia Gladiators, Cheshire Phoenix, Manchester Giants, Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles, B. Braun Sheffield Sharks.

South: Bristol Flyers, Leicester Riders, London Lions, Plymouth City Patriots, Surrey Scorchers.

Women

North: Caledonia Gladiators, Durham Palatinates, Manchester Giants, Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles, B. Braun Sheffield Hatters.

South: Cardiff Met Archers, Essex Rebels, Leicester Riders, London Lions, Nottingham Wildcats, Oaklands Wolves.

Fans have until February 15th at 7.00pm to ensure their favourite players grace the court on March 17th on what is set to be a momentous day for British basketball.
